Rhiannon Smith manages the Middle East Research Centre (MERC) at the Cambridge Judge Business School. MERC is dedicated to researching the MENA business environment and the particular leadership challenges and opportunities facing Middle Eastern organisations. Rhiannon speaks Arabic and has traveled widely within the MENA region. She has worked extensively in Libya with a focus on political risk analysis, economic development and transitional justice. She was a panelist at the International Criminal Court's Assembly of State Parties in 2013, where she discussed the issue of complementarity in relation to Libya. Rhiannon's analysis and opinion pieces have been published by open Democracy, the New Statesman, Al-Jazeera and the Royal United Services Institute.
